cebu meets ali (part II)

so first day in the office, i gave myself an award for being the earliest bird. still for training, i was the very first to arrive at the office. when my co-trainees started coming one by one, i was with awe that most of us came from mindanao. amazing really!

second to come, i knew jess who was from davao. then there's irene who's from cagayan de oro. someone's from msu also and that's bex. we also have a classmate who was a dentist. i never thought call center culture could be as diverse as this.

the first week was called the technical pre-employment training. indeed, all the things discussed were very technical. it was fun though because i was able to be "enlightened" about the things i was introduced to back in the university where everything that was taught was as vague as my future when i used to study there. so now i know already what's the purpose of AGP, expansion slot, sound and video cards, etc.

the last day of training is what they call ops-val. well, i don't even know what exactly it stands for. but we had to be evaluated based on what we learned from the training. luckily, i was the first to take it. huh! i was okay while i was interviewed by nez from the recruitment. she said she was contented by my answers although, she didn't want me easily giving up. she said that because in the problems that she gave me, after giving one or two answers, i would stop and say i can't think of anything more. but when she pushed me more to give additional inputs, i was able to do so. so as a piece of advice, she reminded me to "never give up easily". love it.

then i passed it. and for the following weeks, there's more people to meet and new trainers to be with... more experiences to take and more money to make... :)
