a slice of heaven in Dicasalarin Cove

i don’t know if it's the fact that we were the only visitors of the cove that day, but the barely touched jaw-dropping beauty that is Dicasalarin was something that we, and i quote my buddy Mash, “couldn’t take wholly”.

paraiso!

when i planned this  Baler trip, i was torn between this and Ampere Beach to include in the itinerary. considering time and monetary constraints, i was almost sure of going for the latter until i invited Mash to come. DicasalarinCove was on his bucket list last year and lucky him, it wasn't too late yet to tick this one off of it. he got me when he explained that it is considered the most beautiful cove in the country, topping the very famous Anawangin.

for a budget traveler like me, it pains me to pay a handsome 300php for a resort entrance fee when i have options to go for other than that. but that pain evanesced right when i caught a glimpse of the dished coast on our descent towards it (we had to walk up a mountain for around thirty minutes first). with the water so blue, the sun shining bright, and the waves majestically but peacefully crashing through the shore, it's a sight that's almost too good to be true. that was just priceless, i just don't have any right to lament over the 300php.

our smiles were ear-to-ear when we reached the shore. that's really a moment of being one with nature. i'd like to commend the owner for still maintaining that very untouched, rural feel despite the houses they built there.

no swimming. only this.
the beach was very adorable, we would've enjoyed it more if we were allowed to swim. unfortunately, they were growing corals in there that time, so we're banned. for a good cause, at least.

the ultimate slide. game?

looking like Batanes, our tour guide right there

there's a part that visitors can climb up to get a more spectacular view of the cove as well as the grandeur of the Pacific. and being high up there, there's no better adjective to use than breath-taking. the vastness of the ocean, knowing it goes beyond the farthest my eyes can see, astonished me hugely and gave me so much peace at the same time.

there's this tower which our tour guide had no idea what for

i believe but i'm not sure if they're trying to develop the place into one premiere resort. if so, it will effortlessly emerge as one in a not so distant future. we're just lucky we came to experience it at a time when it's underdeveloped and unpretentious but still very fascinating. i just hope it could always stay that way.
